TRAVELLING TO ISTANBUL
Istanbul is less than a three-hour flight from most European cities. Located at the crossroads of East and West, Istanbul offers easy air connections and is served by more than 300 airlines from hundreds of cities around the world. Istanbul is serving with two airports; Ataturk Istanbul International Airport and Sabiha Gokcen International Airport with a capacity of far over 50 million travelers per year. Almost all international airlines have convenient direct flights to Istanbul from all over the world. Turkish Airlines, which has been carrying passenger and cargo since 1933, has today a fleet of 131 aircrafts and flies to a total of 148 destinations, 36 domestic and 112 international. It has consolidated its international position by linking the Caucasian countries and the Turkish Republics in Central Asia, as well as the Middle Eastern and Asian countries with Europe, Africa and North America through the service network hub in Istanbul. Turkish Airlines is a member of Star Alliance.

Please note that citizens of many countries in the world do not need visa while traveling to Turkey or it is possible to obtain a visa upon arrival at the airport for a reasonable fee.
